I have the honour to inform you that I have

been approached by Mr. C. Schroter, of Messrs. Garrels Borner &

Co., requesting me to undertake the liquidation of the affairs of

his firm on his departure for Shanghai, and I therefore beg to

apply to you to sanction the appointment, which I trust you may

see your way to do.

I would mention that, owing to the War, my own business is at a standstill, and I am naturally very anxious

to avail myself of this opportunity of employment.

Colony since the year 1900, and, being a British subject, and
